“A people which takes no pride in the noble achievements of remote ancestors will never achieve anything worthy to be remembered with pride by future descendants”
Lord Macaulay
(a British Historian and Politician 1800-1859)
Just ran across this quote again and thought I should share it.
"We inherit from our ancestors gifts so often taken for granted. Each of us contains with this inheritance of soul. We are links between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories and future promise. -Edward Sellner"

I love that he calls what we inherit "gifts". I think of any special talents we have as "gifts." I like that saying "what we are is a gift from G-d...what we do with that "gift' is our gift to G-d"

I wonder how many of us know what our Gift is and how many of us are using it as intended.
